How the RISA Fund grant will be used
This project aims to collaborate with the relevant government agencies to draft a national research policy for Kenya and submit the draft to the ministry of education for onward transmission to parliament for final legislation. It is working to develop a national research policy to guide how research and research funding is directed in a way that impacts national development priorities and other international development commitments.
The idea of the project was co-created between RISA and the National Commission for Science and Technology (NACOSTI), and ISAAA was chosen as the delivery partner.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with NACOSTI, NRF, and commission for higher education among other partners.
